Much excitement yesterday when the postman delivered a big fat envelope containing all the seeds. We have two types of beetroot, pumpkin, butternut squash, spinach, onions, carrots, salad leaves and radish.
I had a little trip to the garden centre with Iris and we bought 3 raspberry canes, some cellerey, red cabbage, cauliflower and purple sprouting broccili.
So all that is left now is to plant our patch and turn it into a real life allotment. Can't wait.

The seeds have arrived!
In the beginning.....
On the 25th May 2008 the Hardcastles; Tim, Joanne, Lily and Iris and the Haberghan-Days; Joanne, Rosie and Ben started work on their new allotment.
Tim and Iris dug out the beds. Joanne and Ben burned lots of rubbish (move away from the fire Ben!) Jo made the tea and Lily and Rosie stayed out of the way.......
We were back to dig some more the next morning despite Tim having very large blisters where the palms of his hands should be. Rosie and Lily did join in this time because they were worried that they would not be allowed to share the fruits of our labours come autumn.
At the moment we are patiently (some more than others) awaiting the arrival of our seeds......
